To distant shores I cast my gaze
My earthly ties are shattered
I sailed beyond destiny's end

Enveloped in the velvet night
curtains rise o'er cobbled streets unsleeping

Simulacrum amongst thieves and whores
Take the flesh and drain its pleasures
With every tryst courting death
A romance spanning eons

Bloodless abandon earth drinks the sky
For all stolen years scarred across bloodlines
At the first cold light
Goes another passing shadow

I peered behind the veil of stars
